Online Expert AP Statistics Tutoring

One-on-one AP Statistics tutoring online for high school students who want higher grades, stronger confidence in math, and a clear plan for the AP exam.

Work with Max (Georgia Tech engineer + 19+ years teaching/tutoring). Sessions are focused, personalized, and designed to help students understand the “why,” not just memorize steps.

Start with a free trial session. After the trial, we’ll do a 10–15 minute parent follow-up to review what I’m seeing and agree on the best next steps.

Who this is for

Who this is for

This is a great fit if your student is:

  • Working hard in AP Statistics but the grade isn’t reflecting the effort

  • Second-guessing themselves during tests, even when they understand the material

  • Struggling with FRQ formatting - knowing the math but losing points because the written explanation doesn't match what AP graders want.

  • Losing points on setup, wording, interpretation, or calculator steps on FRQs

  • Unsure what to focus on before a test (or how to study effectively)

  • Aiming for a 4 or 5 and wants structured practice that builds confidence

Common subjects we cover:

  • P-Values

  • Writing FRQs for full credit

  • "Which test do I use" decision process

  • Interpreting output: histograms, boxplots, regression, residual plots

  • And more based on your student's needs

How online sessions work

How Sessions Work

We meet online using Zoom and a shared whiteboard.

To make sessions efficient, students can send screenshots of problems ahead of time (recommended).

We’ll use our time together to:

  • Identify the exact skill gap

  • Practice the right question types

  • Build a repeatable strategy the student can use independently

  • Strengthen confidence by making the process feel clear and manageable

Typical schedule: weekly 55–60 minute sessions (45 minutes available).

Billing: monthly in advance; semester-pay option available.

A: Yes. We’ll use homework to identify gaps, then practice the question types that show up on quizzes, unit tests, and the AP exam.

Q: What should my student send before the session?

A: If possible, send screenshots of the assignment, recent test topics, or the areas that feel confusing at least 24 hours before the session.

Q: Can you help if my student is behind right now?

A: Yes. We’ll prioritize the most important skills first so your student can start improving quickly.

Q: What happens after the free trial?

A: After the session, we’ll schedule a brief 10–15 minute call with the parent(s) to review what I observed, answer questions, and recommend next steps.

Q: Do you work with my teacher’s pacing and materials?

A: Yes. If you share the syllabus or current unit, I’ll align sessions with what’s happening in class.
